Second edition article to Farintosh Farms

A Happy Field Trip to Farintosh Farms

Write a trip report of the Farintosh Farms visit. Include pictures from Facebook. Check with a partner for any typos before posting. Then comment on your classmates' blogs.

Yesterday, It was sunny day, our classmates and teacher took a field trip to visit Farintosh Farms. This is the first time for me to visit a Canadian farm. All of us met together in TTC Don mills station and happily talked about the refresh countryside air and fresh vegetables. Farintosh Farms is located just to the north of Toronto. Only after a little more than 10 minutes’ driving time, we arrived at the farm. The farm is full of fresh air, vegetables, fruits and plants. There were different kinds of green vegetables growing in the field to pick fresh. Some classmates picked beans growing in the field. Others took pictures with beautiful scenes of trees, crops, farm machines and a dog. There was also one food market. In this market you could see squash, onions, watermelons, maple syrup, honey, etc. I bought a bottle of pure Canadian natural honey.  This three-hour trip brought us endless happiness. It was a really nice trip.

Finally, thanks very much to my classmate Mr. William Song for the car pool.

New Conversation

Group 1 and group 2 made combination as following:

A: Hi, Thomas. Why are you so late?  Did you finish your project?
B: I had already finished my project in my computer, but my kid deleted it before I saved.
A: Oh, my god! You said the same things last time, Thomas. Today is the deadline. What should we do now?
B: Take it easy, bro. Last time it was my son’s fault, but this time it was my daughter’s. We still have a few hours. And we can finish the work this afternoon.
A: Are you crazy!  We have chemistry lab from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. We do not have enough time to do it. And as I know, you just have one child.

B: Oh, Sorry, I forgot to tell you my wife was pregnant and I have a daughter. I will tell professor and give us one more day. I promise you that I will finish my project perfectly tonight.

Hoodman, hang.

Getting an Interview for part-time and full-time job

Here are your tasks:
  1. Vocabulary and listening: A fulltime job
  2. Role play this dialogue with a partner and make a chirbit.
Article is as following:

                                             Getting an Interview

I've finally landed my first interview. Well, actually, that's not really true. I have been on many interviews for part-time jobs. This was my first interview for a full-time job.

In less than two months, I will graduate from Arizona University. After a lot of back and forth trying to decide on a major, I finally decided to double major. I would study both political science and marketing.

These are not majors that usually go together. In fact, most people thought I was crazy. But, after a lot of soul searching, I decided to combine my two main interests: 1. politics and 2. getting a job! Those are my two priorities. I thought that if I get degrees in these twofields, I could cast a wide net when going job hunting. And, that's what I'm trying to do now.

Since I don't know if I want to work in the public or private sector, I've applied for jobs in both. In the public sector, I could work for the government. Maybe one day, I could even be a speech writer for the President! Okay, maybe I should shoot a little lower. In the private sector, I could work for private organizations such as museums, schools, or programs. Some of those are non- profit.

Or, I could work for a company. Everybody tells me that that's where the money is. I haven't decided yet. I'm planning to apply for a lot of jobs and will see what happens. What I want now is just to get some job offers. Then, I can start being picky.
